The camp site has well marked out pitches for tents and motor homes. Camping in the tent was a breeze as the pitches were spacious, had plenty of tree cover for shade and were really flat. There are two sanitary blocks which are regularly cleaned and comfortable. Although the walk to Annecy old town is 15 mins downhill the walk back uphill can be a bit of a hike after a full day out. However, in Annecy in July and August almost all buses are free and there are a couple of routes that stop right outside the campsite. There is a TV room with sofas, a pool table and table football for when the weather is a bit rough and you’re bored of the tent! I thought it was great value too. We paid around €18 per night for two people and a 2 man tent. There is a small play area for children and a small mini golf area too. You can order bread and pastries from the campsite and collect each morning too. Booking was easy and all staff were friendly and welcoming. It was actually a really nice place to relax in the evening after a day in town or hiking in the nearby mountains. Well worth the money. Great value.
We camped here for 4 nights, and got a perfect pitch overlooking the lake. Plenty of shade and trees across the campsite and pitches staggered across the hillside. The facilities were clean and abundant, and staff were very helpful. About 15 mins walk down to the town, but 20 mins back up a very steep hill!
Awesome campground. Great amenities. Particularly the TV room on a rainy day. The choice of tent sites was superb. Toilets and showers clean and fresh. Staff friendly and welcoming. We accidentally followed our navigation app and pushed our fully loaded bikes up the steepest hill to get to the site, only to realise there was a longer road with a much easier climb.. oops!
This site looks a bit uncared for, the shop and restaurant have closed down and there is nowhere close-by to buy necessities. However, the site is quiet and well placed for Annecy and access to the cycle paths, which we used daily - we …
Tight pitches for motorhomes, great friendly service. Laundry facilities easy to use. Site great for walkers, easy access to cycle routes. Site is at the top of a hill so easy to get into Annecy town but bit of an climb on route back to site, May be an issue if unfit or issues with mobility.
I stayed here with a campervan (Ducatp conversion) for three nights. Pitches were shady. Water and electricity point for each pitch. Good location with easy walking or cycling to Annecy. There is a bus if you want to avoid the hills of Annecy.
Brilliant location within easy walking distance of Annecy Lake & old town. Very crowded when we were there in May & pitches are huge but not private as no hedges/boundaries. Lovely friendly staff who were very welcoming. Nice toilet & …
A very nice stay quite close to Annecy centre. The manager was very friendly and the facilities are quite new and good. There is even mini golf, billard table and foosball table.
You must book 1 week in advance OR you have to try your luck on the day. And if you try your luck you will need to arrive early when busy… maybe before 12pm.
To access the town, we opted for a steep walk down and a bus back for €1.50 per person (young children were free).
